there better (if you want, well, if not necessary) to promote discussion.
Before resuming the BBF section on Fridays I bring you a post about books.
During this Easter I decided to read without taking notes, unmarked pages, no thought then was to review the books and in fact I will not do. I acknowledge that I have read and relaxed and already missed him, but I will leave the evaluation of the books, so that at least give you an idea of \u200b\u200bwhether I liked or not. These are my readings from 15 to 24 April. I think that has not been too bad.
The white gardenia Shanghai (Belinda Alexandra) Pages: 608 Rating: (4 Worms)
A nice story tinged with romantic, but starting with an episode that occurred during the Second World War is not unusual to find in a novel, the arrival in China of Russians who fled their country during the Bolshevik Revolution settled there. In particular this is the story of Anya Kozlova, how, when only 13 years, is separated from her mother, who is sent to a labor camp in Siberia, and how they can survive and function in life, always thinking Back to encounter her again.
A story that will pass along 25 years and that will take us from the magnificent Shanghai to Australia the hand of a protagonist who will mature in a rush and save all sorts of obstacles. Find his mother at all costs and reunited with her will be the ultimate goal of your life. Will be at the top of society in Shanghai, the most terrible misery. On his way he will cross many interesting characters, find love, heartbreak, good friends and some worse, but all learn and become a fighter, outspoken, and worker know to get ahead in life.
If I decide to stay (Gayle Forman) Pages: 192
Rating: (3 Little worms)
Well, a juvenile history is not bad, is read from flip, but I have not contributed much. The story of a teenager who suffers an accident and while in coma should consider whether it is in this world after all that has been lost in this accident and would rather die. I did not find particularly original, is rather predictable and I think it has a slightly peliculero final.
I certainly would not have ended well, but of course I have in mind that the protagonist of this book is 17 years old and not my 40.
The green gel pen (Eloy Moreno) Pages: 304
Rating: (3.5 worms)
Finally, I read the famous green pen. Anda is not what the author seems worthy, just for this effort has shown confidence in his work had to read it. The "sustraje" house of my sister and I read it in one of these rainy afternoons I think almost everyone has had during those days.
certainly understand the success it has received. Neck bet that any reader will feel identified in any of the pages of this book but I did not like as much as expected. The protagonist has managed to catch it near the depression. A little more fussy. I would like to give it a few wiggles to savvy on more than one occasion. The truth is I do not know how to describe this novel. Although I love to read realistic stories from time to time generally prefer stories that make me switch from day to day and it made me go looking for people on the street thinking how many people will not like the nameless protagonist of this book. I recognize myself have felt many times as he and have been wanting to send everything to hell, just that I chose to talk to who should do not like him. I hate to find myself in a book with things I do not like or did not like my own life, but I understand it's a story that makes you reflect and think, even if the end I did not like too, it seemed too fast and sorry, but not credible.
Living the Five Towns (Susana Hernández Sánchez) Pages: 60 Rating: (4 Little worms) Susana know
that poetry is not my thing. Just do not usually understand it, I prefer to tell a story or a feeling in prose. Yet he was kind enough to send me a copy of his poems and he promised he would understand. Not only do I understand perfectly, but with this novel I have known a little more personally, because they reflect the love he feels for his homeland, the place where he decided to live "Five Towns" and theirs.
I particularly liked several. The entitled "Fire" the summer because it reminded me that we burned half Galicia and how he saw ashes falling on my house, I loved especially dedicated to his daughter "Live You" and moved me the entitled "Lives blown apart in Atocha," and I imaginareis why.
Thanks Susan, for though the poetry still not be my favorite genre, you get that from the readings of this year has a book of poems I have read it twice, and also (and I mean that sincerely) ; I liked. A big kiss for you (and yours).
The city del Azahar (César Vidal) Pages: 768 Rating: (4 Little worms) did not know what to expect from this novel. My brothers gave me last year for my birthday, but created some discord because my brother chose it and apparently my sister, the author falls pretty bad. I know the author to see him in passing in a program and do I like good or evil, but because when I read what interests me is that the story I like, I thanked the gift and after reading it I have to say it is a very interesting novel that I liked it. I thought it might be written in a style somewhat heavy reading, but quite the opposite. It's Qmar story of a Muslim woman born in Baghdad with a "terrible flaws." He has light hair like his eyes, something he constantly reproach and to top it is also left-handed. Qmar learn to play the lute by Musa, her music teacher and travel to Al-Andalus in search of one of five strings. On his journey he will live many experiences, not all pleasant, know firsthand the complicated coexistence between Islam and Christianity and see how despite having been specifically educated in Islam, reading a book that gives the teacher Musa Qmar will see that there is another religion and that perhaps "communes" more. be highlighted reflections that makes the protagonist at the beginning of each chapter. I liked a lot. Only two "buts." The book has a glossary at the end of more than 180 words is not comfortable when reading in a book so fat and an index of over 80 characters with those names so convoluted that I have done a little slower reading. Vote for editing these books with a special bookmark which appear glossaries or indexes of characters, not having to walk back and forth constantly. A can of truth. Otherwise, I think the novel is very well documented, that will appeal to lovers of historical novels and maybe not so much someone educated in Islam, but you can never please everyone!
The time it would Page: 256 Rating: (4.5 Little worms) realistic Another story you know I came by surprise and I liked it a lot more than the pen. This will review because they were so kind to send it to me and probably hang on Wednesday. On Monday I book to teach the purchase of Sant Jordi.
And this is all I had time to read my mini-vacation blogging.
had already blogka aguadísimo. I've put a few cubes and have completed Adhatoda. Chilled, yes sir, now comes the heat (arremójate the gut).
Blogka With my ice again in the hand (I hope it lasts and I shot him today, here and now) provides a wonder of song. A poem music becomes magic. The climb for two reasons:
1 - M ª José Hernández is probably the best singer of Aragon, and his voice fills, fills the ear. 2 - If you add Labordeta, is a beautiful duet, which is almost ridiculously perfect. And
pussy poem (Adamar - Angel Guinda) and singers are Aragon. "Pa 'Mocé what else?
Today has arrived, spring this colorful award for the blog part of Rosalie's blog What I read and I have to pass it to the last nine people who have commented on the blog.
I'll hang the name of 10 because one of them I seem to have no blog. I know you have many already (if not all), but this time it was not difficult to see who they played.
And since I am and as I've seen that during Holy Week was hanging around some blogs a very literary Meme called "Take your book , I felt like adjudicármelo and play.
consists of taking the book to have close, open to page 89, find the 5th sentence and write it on the blog, so let it go.
The book that I have more closely because it is the one I'm reading is titled "The mark of a kiss" of Daniel Glattauer and the phrase that corresponds to this Meme and you not going to believe what but it's just where I, is:
Because what used to be cooked Beate not to eat much.
I think it is 9. From my house I hear the Angelus and inevitably reminds me of a story. My father said that in his village there was a lady that every time it crossed was held at the same dialogue: - Do you still play? - she asked. - If you still play it. - Ah! Be bastards. The lady went on his way, and my father, his. That lady heard the Angelus three times a day that put him here in Zaragoza, from the women's prison. That woman is already dead, and I remember her every time I hear that song creepy. That glorious song, that song that survives to those who were forced to recite it from misery, horror and hunger. No sir, no. It is not acceptable in the name of peace this woman, this and many others!, have died without anyone ever gave you the opportunity to tell their story. Spain's history, you say when you want to remove the tributes to those who caused the horror, and lack of respect alegáis when we want a simple praise or a hug to those who do not bowed their heads, thinking of his own freedom, but also in ours. Disrespect, you repeat, when we give the bones a decent soil in which to settle. But how can you be so hypocritical. How injustice can not hurt you at gunpoint over the culture, equality and freedom. Ours. Our culture, our equality, our freedom. Oh no ... I is not going to steal memory.
TITLE: Point of fission AUTHOR: David Torres EDITORIAL : Algaida

PRICE: 20 €
SYNOPSIS: "The stories are with pieces of other stories. " Like the Frankenstein monster, the tattooed body of Julia or the propeller of the genetic code, this book is made from fragments of different stories that are joined together to collect new life. four seemingly unrelated stories are twisted together in a bold counterpoint until eventually all lead to one story, a wonderful tribute to literature and the blind impulse to narrate.
25 years ago today, the horrible accident of Chernobyl and coinciding with this date (and by chance) I bring you the review of a book in which this disaster is very present. As I finished putting up with some things and probably today as I run out of internet hours, I leave the review of this book which was the last I read before making Paradita blogger and I liked it.
The truth is that I'm not buying those books to hit "home" but I recognize that a striking and beautiful helps me lift the table of art in any bookstore, and if I have to be honest, I do not know if I had leafed through the novel if not come to me to be sent from the publisher. As I mentioned in BBF # 11, he had not ordered but was the winner of IV Novel Award Logroño and had just "come out the oven "and from Algaida were kind enough to send me a copy. Now, once finished reading I have to confess that I liked a lot more than I had chosen.
I take my hat off to this book that has been the most original and strange that I have read this year.
The novel begins with the story of Sergei, a child who survived the tragedy of Chernobyl, but is used by Boris, a Ukrainian mafia is to recover objects and memories of people who lived in Pripyat (the town closest to the nuclear power plant) and uses it to children who know the environment. In fact the history of Sergie is a novel written by him we read it and sandwiched between three other stories.
On the one hand we have Matas, a publisher that a blunder puts his world upside down overnight. The cast of the work (for alleged harassment of Julia, a co-worker) and home (for alleged infidelity) and ends up living with Domingo, a paralytic, is dedicated to writing reviews of porn movies and having a terrible, funny black comedy.
Then there is Leonardo Zubiri. The poor has fallen by lightning and without having ever read a book, suddenly is given by reading everything that is around and write strange stories, using as inspiration anything given the same base a character in a Playboy "Playboy" that Franco himself and turn it into "Frankonstein" through organ transplants that he get "hunting" for the poor suckers in the Pardo. The same extracts ideas of an encyclopedia than a novel Jasmine. Do not know why or for whom he writes, but once you get to edit it succeeds dramatically.
And finally we have the police inspector Rodríguez. Take a poet inside and composes sonnets sometimes read aloud in a den of Lavapiés called The Cave. The case we are dealing with is to find out who is behind the attacks that have suffered Cibeles (a which have flown the head) and the statue of Neptune (which has lost the nose). The clues are pointing to Pichy ( Chulapos Independence Party And? )

Clearly
the book, says the cover, is a history made of other stories. I swear that when I had read a chapter on each of these four stories, not just catch him, much less point just to make sense, but he never lost for me was the pace, so I kept reading and I suddenly found myself with some stories that even though you know that at some point will come together, or at least I hope, I did not come that does not happen because they all interest me equally.
Sergei's story is especially hard, perhaps because they are real, or at least be based on facts that did happen, is what made me be more serious at the time to read, he visited a ghost town days, weeks , months after the disaster and see the devastation and horror that became everything and the terrible effects of this disaster caused among the population, but ... this book I also have started a few laughs when he least expected and the mood that permeates the pages helps to balance or soften the hardest moments. I would like to transcribe some of the things that hiceron me laugh but I know learned from context would not be the same and it is best to find those moments as you read. Humor, love, terrorism, literature, porn ... finally! many ingredients, but all in perspective to develop a cocktail in my opinion great.
I really liked how you write the author, his imagination at the time of writing this master puzzle and how to weave all the stories. Structure Thus a novel and get it then everything clicks into place always seemed too complicated. Suddenly everything makes sense, characters that seemed to never be found found the right time to do so. It was a novel that has been gaining pace as I went to merge into a single narrative line and get to that amazing final.
I think it was a bold gamble to write this story, and I'm glad a lot of reading it because as I said earlier, might not have called my attention too, if you do not get to send me.
And despite all this, I do not know if a novel can be recommended to anyone. Maybe so strange that is, in principle that composition disordered by these somewhat fanciful and surreal stories, mixed with the one at Chernobyl in the background. In any case, I do not leave anyone indifferent, and I think it can be a very interesting book to break with normal readings.
You can watch a brief comment of the author and Fernando Marías about the book, and like the latter I also think that is worth reading.
Mother, but how much you have worked during Holy Week ha ha!

"Sometimes, I am. I fear the people my age. Kill each other. Have you always been this way? My uncle says no. Only in the last year, six of my classmates have been shot dead. Ten others have died in a car accident. I'm afraid and they do not want me for this reason. My uncle says his grandfather remembered when children are killing each other. But that long ago when everything was different. My uncle says he believed in the responsibility. Must know that I am responsible. Years ago, when he deserved it, I was beaten. And I hand all the household shopping, and cleaning. But above all, continued Clarisse said, "I like people watching. Sometimes I spend the whole day in the "Metro", and I look and listen. I just want to know what they are, what they want and where they go. [...] Sometimes I slide to sneak and listen to the "Metro." Or in the cafeterias. And you know what?
- What?
"People do not talk about anything.
- Oh, something will speak!
"No, nothing. They cite a series of cars, clothes or swimming pool and say it's great. But all say the same and no one has an original idea. And in pubs, most of the time machines work jokes, always the same, or musical wall lit and all combinations colored up and down, but just about colors and abstract design. And in museums ... Have you been there? Everything is abstract. That's all there now. My uncle says he was different. Way back sometimes pictures said something or even representing people.
"Your uncle said, your uncle says ... Your uncle must be a remarkable man.

barrage of awards and level 26 (Anthony E. Zuiker & Duane Swierczynski)
ORIGINAL TITLE: Level 26: Dark Origins TRANSLATION: Aleix Montoto
AUTHOR: Anthony E. Zuiker and (Duane Swierczynski) EDITORIAL: Metro Books ISBN: 978-84-08-09535-4 PAG: 408
PRICE: 19, € 95
SYNOPSIS:
To gauge the level of cruelty and violence of the crimes committed, the police department of the United States established 25 levels of violence (being the maximum number 25). Never thought they could reach a higher level ... The level 26. Steve Dark is the head of a secret U.S. government department that is responsible to find and execute the most vicious mass murderers of the world, especially those whose existence the government would rather not admit. Dark Steve has an uncanny ability to imitate, "live" virtually the profi le of the murderer based on the small details that he is discovering. Dark methods require that your life is spent outside the normal circles, in an underground world which is so close to their goals is in danger of losing their own identity forever. Under the direct government control of the United States, Dark and his team must be available 24 hours seven days a week, ready at all times to dive into a new operation, anywhere in the world ...
No doubt this is one of the most original novels I read in 2010. Belongs to a new genre of novels called "diginovelas" that combine reading the book with the viewing of a series of videos you can see on the Internet by inserting the codes that the novel itself is going easier. This for me has been the ultimate, because I had never read a book in this way, although I admit that comfortable, very comfortable it is. I mean if you you take it away from home and agrees that between chapter and chapter have to do a video for it is a bagpipe, well if you have an iPad or a pileup that lets you connect to the Internet is perhaps not so bagpipes, but boy, do not I do. It is also true that not that it is "essential" to watch the videos, but the truth is that history wins, and enough, view all. In this particular book are exactly 20 videos that can be seen. In addition, videos are crappy. It is clear that the author, Anthony E. Zuiker, creator and producer of the well known series CSI know what he does and has sought out a cast of actors who do really well.
These are the mainstream.
From left. to right. Daniel Buran - Tauvia Dawn - Michael Ironside and Ava Gaudet
confess that among the actors only knew Michael Ironside and a couple more that I have not in the photographs ( Bill Duke and Glenn Morshower ), but when I finished the book who wanted to know more was the person who portrayed Sqweegel because it has been one of the most evil with that, "literally" speaking, I have encountered and because it is capable hide in the smallest and most unlikely corner and wait with infinite patience until they attack their victims. I wanted to know which actor was able to "bend" that way and of course I've found a real contortionist in a role where you do not need to talk too much, but where they were needed other qualities that are very hard to find and not just any other actor, but everyone else. You can see what I mean by clicking HERE .
The story is very interesting. It is in the Gothic novel and criminal to me I like both, but neither is it the height of originality. I pointed out in many times the movie (the good and the book) "Seven." Yet I have read of pull. I decided it had to combine reading with viewing videos it was better to spend a whole afternoon and I did.
The book begins with a prologue in which we are told how the Dark Agent Steve was about to hunt down one of the most lethal criminals have ever known. No one has been able to get so close to Sqweegel, but something went wrong and the killer managed to escape.
The next chapter takes us to the present (two years after the prologue). Tom Riggins has convened a secret meeting in the Division of Special Cases Quantico, where he has gathered the best agents and Forensic country. They all know that there is an Evil Scale for classifying murderers whose maximum level is 25, or at least that was what they thought up to this meeting, where they are informed that there is a higher level. One made out for a special criminal.
"The personnel of security forces is well known that the murderers are classified according to their belonging to one level of evil twenty-five models: the naive opportunists from level 1 to the organized murderers torturers who populate the level 25. What almost nobody knows, except the unnamed elite research group in charge of hunting down the world's most dangerous murderers, a group of men and women is not mentioned in any official records, is that the process of defining a new category murderers is underway. Only a man belongs to this level. His goals either. Their methods: Unlimited. Your alias: Sqweegel. Your rating: Level 26.
After viewing a video and a talk are informed and verse of what is known about Sqweegel and the promise of a hefty sum of money for those who get trapped, Tom Riggins is seen as the beginning of the meeting: not a single volunteer.
And it has only been an agent about to stop Sqweegel: Steve Dark. The problem is that Dark has decided to retire and persuaded will be very difficult for Riggins, much as his life depends on it.
Anyway, I'm not going to say why he retired Dark, but not too difficult to guess as you get into the novel and it is not difficult to know whether or not to help Riggins, because then there would be novel, but not I tell you no more. As I said
the book is not to be too original in its plot, but I think all the characters in the story are sufficiently developed to sustain the story and not be bored in no time. We have
"Sqweegel" a murderer intelligent, thoughtful, careful, evil up unexpected points and above all patient. Two decades trying to catch it shows the care put into all the murders he commits. Never leave a single track and single from which the police have are that he himself provided, whether notes or videos. A "Sqweegel" likes to record his "work." Because yes, for the killing is a pleasure, but also a game. Presumably much smarter than any agent trying to capture but it is also true that Dark admires because "almost" get it.
Steve Dark, is now a retired man but lives by dragging a huge fault that can not be free and has almost managed to overcome thanks to his wife Sibby. They are about to be parents, with the arrival of Tom Riggins his life, none makes them particularly exciting.
Tom Riggins, on the other hand is a character that has nothing to lose, in fact not even worried about losing your life if this case turns out badly. Takes too much time working in special cases and has seen it all. We also Constance, another agent in the service of Riggins, beautiful and intelligent and also save a little secret that will end up coming to light in the wrong moment.
The novel is very agile, the chapters are not too long and stops to watch the videos, contrary to what might appear, are very dynamic reading. It is a story hard (very hard) at times, but that gets you if you like this kind of book (Isi: This is not for you) . Once you pick up the pace of reading is almost impossible to stop reading, because the action is accelerating in the final chapters and you can not drop. "Entertaining? Enough, really. "Original? I leave the official trailer of the first book in this series. Level 26: Dark Origins (yes, English)
